<font size="3">Temporary Changes in ANV Command</font id="size3">

Sirs of the Club and Army of Northern Virginia Members:

After a very bad personal summer I, the Commanding Officer of the ANV, will be taking furlough for the time being. I will be replaced in my stead by <b>Interim Commanding Officer Brigadier General Dave Bowman</b> of the II Corps, ANV. I will still be around and will be playing games, but the operational command of the Army will be handled by General Bowman. I will still try to maintain mostly through contact with him informational command over the Army so I am not totally in the dark when I get back.

When I do get back some changes may take place in the duties I do, but that is sometime off. I plan on taking off at least a month.

Please offer General Bowman a hearty congrats and all are welcome to share a drink with us at the Clump of Trees Tavern in his honor:
