Gentlemen:

I have read that the extended version of Gods and Generals contains the battle of Antietam. Is it certain this?.

It is a fact that scenes depicting the Battle of Antietam were filmed, but they did not make "the final cut." Many people are waiting for the ultimate "Director's Cut" of the film, hoping to see both those scenes and many others (such as those with John Wilkes Booth) . . . Sad to say however, no reliable news on the release of an expanded version has been forthcoming. The scuttlbutt to date is that no one is willing to put up the money.

The Directors cut has been shown in some cinemas across the USA if you look across the web you may find more info or you can always try here for any info.
