to secure his left. The yankee [XIICORPS] forming in
his front, but not cohesive. We can move them...

Early had won the south of the town and made steady
progress towards that sunken road, pushing Baxter and
Smith back against their own guns. "Make for those
guns, Major...!"

Andersons' entire division now in line and assaulting
the remnants of the I/I, coming in along the FRONT of
Seminary Ridge, getting right into the fight, as more
and more of his troops come to grips with the fatigued
union boys.

A sound of drumbeats from the pike announcing the
arrival in good order of Johnsons' division, along
with yet more guns! Would they be better served moving
to the south of town, to support Early, or shift them
straight thru the town to backup Rodes.....perhaps
both????
