American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC)

G'day all,

I'm sure many of you may have heard of this game, but for those of you who haven't I strongly suggest you have a look at this American Civil War game. I'd go so far as to call it a battle simulator. It is one of the best wargames I've ever played, and I go back to Gettysburg '77 from Avalon hill.

The game is put out by mainly two guys working on it in thier spare time, with the help from another 10-12 dedicated helpers. I am not the first to stumble upon this game and be shocked by how good it is and wonder why I hadn't heard of it before.

I think this community will really enjoy the game, and they plan to make it multiplayer one day.

I don't think I can adequately describe the game to you in words, you should really have a look at thier website and visit the forum. The developers post often and interact with the players one a one to one basis. I can't say enough about how dedicated these guys are to the gmae and the players.

It is only single player at the moment, but thier devotion to reaslims and attention to detail is very good. The AI is incredible and the feeling you get working with other brigade or division commanders is really immersive. It's been called a tactical filed simulator, and I'd agree with that.

I'm sure you'll agree this game is worth checking out.
