"Lone Star" - by Don Troiani

Honors for Whole Confederate Division

Officers of the Confederate States of America (CSA) Armies & Fellow Club Members,

I am delighted to continue to celebrate here today, some great officers of the Confederate States of America (CSA) Armies, for their service and battlefield accomplishments. This one is a special awarding, as it is the only one of it's kind this time around. A whole division of officers is getting awards for their great level of activity. Since August 2015 until now the division has filed some 95 new & end game forms, making it the division in the Army of Northern Virginia (ANV) with the most. It is also the only complete division in the CSA where every officer filed a form. It's not a surprise, the division is led by an excellent veteran leader Major General Gary Krenek who is a great fan of MP games and often takes his officers into battle with him!

Gary caught my attention back when he was in the 3rd (Texas) Infantry Division, III (Swamp Legion) Corps of the ANV. He went on to assume command of that division and did a fine job leading it. During the reshuffle, he was transferred to command the 3rd (Hood's Texas) Division, I (Longstreeet's) Corps of the ANV, where he has continued his great leadership since.

All officers, both veterans and newer ones helped contribute! I am happy to award the following to every officer of:

3rd (Hood's Texas) Division
I (Longstreeet's) Corps
Army of Northern Virginia (ANV)

I have asked Fightin' General Gary Schofield to have the ol' 2nd South Carolina String Band play us "The Yellow Rose of Texas" in honor of this fine division! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNO6T8wf0wQ

Now let's drink & eat! :D

Well done Gents, it is what this club is about, that and excessive drinking. So lets have a rink or thirty on Gen Stiles's bar tab. Yeah baby

Free beer!?! Did someone say free beer? The 3rd Division is always up for that! :D

Seriously, thanks for the props Scott. We will try to keep it up.

And thanks to all the guys in my Division. They are the ones that did this.

Frankly I'm surprised that the officers of this division can still walk around with all that metal hanging from their chests! :o

But honors due where honors are due. Congratulations to those grayback rascals. :)

Maybe John Tiller can add an armor rating for officers to depict this.
