I'm curious to hear anyone's appraisal of the recent film, Fury, starring Brad Pitt and Logan Lerman. Somebody went to a lot of trouble getting their hands on the real tanks used in this production. |

My uncle was commander of a sherman in Korea and said the tank scenes were pretty much right on, the story line he had no comment. Side story, he was trained to be a gunner and when arrived at his unit the commander said "you're my driver", Bill says he was trained as gunner, commander says "I need a driver, you are my driver", end of conversation. He later got command of his own tank. |
