Hi
What is THE best online community for Civil War? Something that is comparable with Napoleon-series.org but for the Civil War?
While I have a bunch of pages that cover the Civil War I have no page with an active discussion forum where one can get in contact with a big community that can provide a huge and broad amount of knowledge on the topic of the Civil War.
So is there something in that direction?
Cheers

Christian,

If you go to the Civil War Trust site (besides the great new animated maps covering all the major campaigns, books, apps and much more)
there is a listing of forums and blogs that are all good. As to which is the best, it depends on what you are looking for, but they have a
comprehensive list.

Thanks.
Seems that the http://civilwartalk.com/ stands out as a huge community, it should provide a waste pool of knowledge that can be put to use.

Civil War Talk can indeed provide much information, almost too much, Colonel Hecht! You can easily get lost in all those sub-forums. But it is an interesting place.
