When a game goes from strategy to just a shootem up with little chance of a change in outcome, is it good form to offer to end the game?

Good question, David!

I suppose the answer has a different meaning for each of the players involved. If I'm on the losing side, I might request a termination bid or surrender myself. If I'm on the winning side, I might do the same out of good sportsmanship. Some guys might want to play things out for their own reasons, like accruing more OBD Points or just practicing their own skills. Some guys like to play things completely out because they want to see the degree of historicity involved or just take pride in finishing out a game. But in any termination bid the receiving player is totally free to decline!

Once out of control, an offer to terminate is fine. Being on either end of getting clobbered is not fun.
