THEME.......Go BIG or go back to bootcamp! ;)

Officers!, <salute>

I'm proud to announce that I'm nearly completed with a custom Grand Scenario for the Shiloh Campaign game. This is a very unique approach to the game's mechanics and is played on a larger campaign style scenario.

GAME SCALE:
*-1.5 miles per hex
*-6 hex visibility limit
*-Turns represent 1 full day
*-Rail Transport
*-River Transport
*-Gunboats
*-Multi-level armies overseen by regional department commands (Union: Dept. of Missouri, Rebels: Army Dept. Nr.2)
*-Unit Size - Brigade (5,000 man limit per unit/18,000 limit per hex)
*-Firing range limits (modified .pdf files)
*-Rail/Boat loading and unloading movement penalties
*-750 x 575 customs campaign map (see Jump Map image)
*-Jan. 1st, 1862 through May 31st, 1862 (151 turns)
*-Available to use on the HPS or JTS versions.

NOTE: Beginning forces are fairly close in size but the Union will continue to gain an edge in manpower as the scenario progresses. The final forces sizes are:
Union: 114,506
Rebels:76,692

Scenario Description:
The GRAND Shiloh Scenario! The battle will cover Jan. 1st, 1862 to May 31st, 1862. The unit scale is based on a brigade sized unit and the map is built on a 1.5 miles per hex scale. A turn represents a full day and begins at 8:00 AM each morning. All battles will result in low ammo so it is key to keep supplies near your front lines. Rail lines and river movements are the fastest means of transportation. Rail and riverboat can only be done in column/mounted formation. Units are placed at their historical locations at the start of the game.

The Map has just been completed and the testing will now begin. Would be interested to know if many of you would prefer to use this for a tournament setting, multi-player platform or just H2H gaming?

That approach sounds pretty crazy. Looking forward to see if it plays out well!

Reviewing historical setup, unit entry and VP points for historical battle hexes. Getting closer! ;)

Map details have been cleaned up a bit and rail/road bridge crossings have modified.
Some graphic updates to the maps 2d & 3d.

Curious if this should be offered as a custom tournament battle?

Looks amazing. I always love the large, multi-day, campaign type scenarios. I just purchased the old West Point Military atlas(BG Esposito) books since I was enjoying the free ones online. I would love to test it. I would play locally and check for bugs, issues I notice, or anything that would you would like.

Should be a nice change and something exciting and different. Hope all goes well with the testing and everyone enjoys it.

I've emailed the file link to all those who inquired about the scenario so you can playtest this early release version.

Once confirmed the scenario is good, I'll post the link here for everyone.
