Gallant Officers of the CSA, <salute>

The Vicksburg Military Institute is in need of an Instructor to teach the Matrix game, Forge of Freedom to new CSA Cadets. The main directive of a VMI Instructor is to make sure that Cadets are fully trained in setting up games, PBEM file exchange, and gaming ability, before they are assigned to an army and begin gaming with the general population of the club. In addtion to making sure that the Cadet is competent with the game, the Instructors also make sure that the Cadets understand the basics of the ACWGC and how to function within its structure.
This is not an easy job and you must have the time to devote to training, enjoy people and getting to know them, problem solving, have lots of patience, and have a desire to help the CSA and the club.
If you feel you have these qualities and wish to serve, please contact me at jnewton3(at)cfl.rr.com and we will begin talking about the position.

Regards,

Brig. General
John Newton
Commandant VMI
CoS / AoG / CSA

Sir:

My knowledge of the English language does not allow me to be a good intructor.
I want to say another thing to you:
Also we should know if the new cadets are authentic, or only some "funny" of the club disguised of field Lt. This has happened to me already two times. If it is not possible, these assignments should not be assessed.

Regards:

Lt. General A. de Meré

Lt. General A. de Mere, <salute>

I have seen a lot of "funny" things with new Recruits and Cadets, but I am not aware of any fake or false new Fld. Lts. graduating and being posted to the armies. I am frankly not sure why someone would want to go through all the trouble. But if this ever happens again, please contact your AC and myself immediately and we will take the appropriate actions.
As to language being a problem, we have Instructors and Cadets from all over the world speaking a variety languages. Right now we need someone who can teach Forge of Freedom to new Cadets.
Thank you very much for responding to this post and if you ever need any help or have a problem, please contact me direct and I will do all I can to resolve the issue.

Regards,

Brig. Gen. John Newton
Commandant VMI
CoS / AoG / CSA

Gentlemen:

My new Field Lt. has appeared.

He is delayed for drinking Bourbon captured to the "Smurfs". Tennessee Bourbon is better.

Ola drinking "smurf" bourbon? Oh my, that just won't won't do. Surely he's been drinking some of that fine home brew my ADC "Bubba" has been brewing up; since he captured my personal wagon that is. "Bubba" tells me his Daddy brewed the finest "dew" in Houston county. Given how potent it tends to be, I'm inclined to believe him. Mike Dean captured some once and last I heard he was found the next day in a barn with some coyote by the name of "Miss Lulu"; not that I put much stock in such scuttlebutt. [:p][:D][:o)]

Gentlemen,

This Topic/Thread is about needing a volunteer who can teach the Matrix game Forge of Freedom for VMI. Please restrict your comments to this subject. If you have other club business that involves VMI, please send me an email and we will discuss it.
Lt. Colonel Berli, we keep extensive records on all of our Cadets as well as individuals who send in the "CSA join form", including the IP address. If I find that there has been any deception on your part I will push to have you removed from the club.

Regards,

BG J. Newton

deception is a very effective way of war so that I do when I fight

Mike,

No apology needed and normally I wouldn't care but we are in a bit of a bind at VMI and I'm just trying to keep the topic focused.

Thanks,

Now there's a fine unit if ever I've seen one; an officer from such an elite group can only succeed! Oh wait, that's a different Smith..........[:D]

Seriously, congratulations sir on your appointment and thank you for being willing to step up and assist the AoG in this manner. S-A-L-U-T-E!
