An article I found about the new Visitors Center being built on Brice's Cross Roads. I visited the site about 5 years back. It is a place you really have to WANT to find and then hope you stumble across it. The directions I got from the guy at Corinth included the phrase "if you see the Turkeys you have gone too far." I thought he was joking until I passed a turkey farm and had to do a U-Turn. I will have to work my way back down there to visit the new center and see the new interpretive exhibits that are planned.

Hey - Even I was there about 15 years ago - was devil of a job to find. Had business visit to Tupelo.

Andersonville is the only other place I have had a very hard time finding along the eastern coast. I am sure way out west in New Mexico or Texas there are even more difficult sites to get to.

I think the hardest battlefield to find in the East, for me, was Rich Mountain, WV. It was up a dirt road, and I think the only thing there at the time was the Hart family cemetery. In the West, it was Valverde. In fact, other than a roadside sign on I-25, I never did locate the battlefield. Or Ft Craig. Others that were difficult to find were Poison Springs, Mark's Mill and Jenkins' Ferry in Arkansas. Not much at any of those sites.
