In my game of Cheraw with dwight, I just assaulted across the leftmost ford in line and the next turn, when all my units were isolated, we just marched backwards across the ford. Either it is, as dwight suggested, all them dead colonials or there are a lot of stepping stones in this particular ford.

Larry- another possibility here- remember telling me about that non existent engineer group you were missing in the WWII game- perhaps they were abducted by aliens and transported back 170 years and laid a pontoon for you- could it be? Dwight

Larry, do you mean hex 61, 60? If so that is a stream hexside, not a ford.

I don't see any hex wide bodies of water that would reuqire a ford.

What am I missing?

Let me check ... yep ... He's in the other room snoring and the rocking chair is still creaking.

A lot quieter around here, now that we bobbed the cat's tail, keep fergettin' he's in there.
