I have to know this now: What in hell are the routing units in these games wearing? Is it sporting cloths, in order to indicate that they're running like hell? Is it underwear, indicating that they have thrown away everything not really necessary? Or what else? It looks really weird!

My Scots don't running away. I have more problems to hold them if they like to engage the US troops
At usual routing companies running not much quicker than in BG games.

Routers are made to look different so you can find them quickly. They are wearing their 'little clothes' - that is shirt, vest and pants. they have discarded their coats, hats and weapons.

Mr. Amos is almost correct, the term is small clothes, and yes they are depicted in their "underwear" as the shirt was long and doubled as both underwear and as a nightshirt, (underpants not being used then unless it was frightfully cold and one was wearing two pairs)I rather like the look of the American routing units in particular, and quite truthfully can never quite get my fill of seeing them. The more the better I always say.
