I apologize to all of my opponents who are waiting for my next move...
My computer went south last week and I think I contacted everyone that I was in battle with to let you know that I would be getting a new computer.
Today I purchased an HP pavilion 7920.
..............Thing is ...........I can't install 1776...I have no idea why.
Can anyone offer any help?

What kind of error message do you get when you try to install the game?

Brett,
I don't get an error message. Auto Install
doesn't kick it so I go to My Computer and double click on the Install icon ...but nothing happens.
I can open all of the 1776 folders, view allthe maps and things...I can even listen to the music..........I just can't get the game to install.

Tom, is your OS maybe Win 2000 or Win NT?

Tom,

Try to go into the \Campaign 1776 directory and running setup.exe.

Also, if the CD is dirty it may not install properly. Take a clean, lint free, rag and wipe in a stright line out from the center to the edge. Trust me, I know it sounds trivial, but this has solved a lot of problems.
