I am looking for someone who is willing to playtest my new 1776 scenario with me. It's called "The Long Way Home" and based on Al's 4-mile map (a very nice landscape btw). It features a Hessian division that has to get home through a French-infested country somewhere in Germany.
I prefer the opponent to play the Brits. They have many different options in this scenario, and I want to find out which approach someone who plays this blind (that's the condition, btw) would chose. Since the French are fixed and scattered over the map, I think the fact that I have designed the scenario is more than offset by the lack of freedom of action my troops will have, whereas the Brits can go whereever they like.
I don't even know whether a new scenario can be club-registered. If it can, I'd be happy to play this for real, but likewise happy to agree on a draw beforehand, regardless of the actual outcome.
I think I can promise that this will at least be fun, and I am looking forward to any critique by my opponent.

Hi Dierk,

I would be interested in having a go at it, with or without club points. Why not attach it to our next Queenston exchange?

Dierk,

If you'd like a second play-tester, I'd be glad to try out your new scenario. (I've made a number of scenarios myself - albeit Napoleonic - although I'm also currently working on one or two for 1776)

Rich, I have Mike playing the Brits now ... I hope after that I can iron out some inconsistencies, adjust victory levels and objective values and such, and then I would be glad to give the beta a try with you.
