Gentlemen, I am looking for two Colonial and two British Gentlemen, of officer rank, for a very special endeavor, for the best of the club. Volunteers must meet the following requirements:
1. They must have been member of this club more or less since its inception, anyway at least for a year.
2. They must still be active in this club.
3. They must not presently hold a Cabinet or army CiC position - department commander, army or department AdC is acceptable.
This is a DBR issue, so please contact me at my billet without notifying anybody else. Be prepared to be rejected without any reason given - the reason will be a necessary result of the nature of the endeavor and not in any way be personal. Volunteers will be accepted only under the understanding that their contribution to this enterprise will never be made public, nor even their names mentioned, except to the other participants.
If all this sounds very strange, please rest assured that what I plan will be for the best of the club, and that this will be plainly obvious to anyone once our task is finished. Yet it is impossible to be more specific now.
I know the people I am calling for are here, and I ask them now to step forward and contact me privately.
