Gentlemen, 1812 seems not always entirely stable. Often opening a second file (without closing the first one and exiting the program) will result in one or several of the following problems:
- Ctrl-N for "find next stack" doesn't work, that is, always replies "all units have been considered" (lasts until computer is restarted);
- saving results in end of turn and encryption of the file;
- program crashes on exit.
I have encountered these problems on two different machines. One of these is brandnew, clean hard disk, so to speak. I have no problems with any other program, especially not with the BG games.
Has anyone else noticed these problems? Are they simply bugs, are there any known incompatibilities between 1812 and any other software or any hardware components? Or what else could be the problem?
You can also send the information to me. We did not encounter these problems during testing or since release. Also, I ususally play all my PBEM turns in a row without closing the program and I have not had an issue with the next unit feature. We'll see what we can find out.

All,

F.Y.I. - the Ctrl key problem has been resolved. The fix for that will be available next month when another patch is released. Probably around mid June.
