Gents! I recommend we use one (this) thread (topic) for game challenges and acceptances only.

Okay, now that I am more familiar with this set up here are some suggestions.

By using this topic for game challenges the person issuing the challenge can go back in and edit his original post to let others now if he has an opponent or not. You can even put the amendment in a different color to catch everyone's attention.

Alternatively, after getting an opponent I guess the challenger could go in a delete his original post.

I prefer the 1st method.

This may be a smoother version of matchmaker.

Not a bad idea at all...would cut down on the number of topics we'd have to scroll through...

Hey Alex,

I think we should leave the challenges on the main board. It is a part of the club and really creates the most board traffic. Will be glad to hear what the other members have to say, but if it is anything like the ACWGC, about 99% of the people (who have voted) said to keep it inside the main board.

Thanks for the offer though!

Regards,

I like this idea better than a challenge board for all clubs.

I'm looking for a Brit for 1776 w/the 1.03 patch. Any short scenario, cowpens for instance, just want to get a feel for the new changes.

Does any of you rebellious Colonials care to try to force his way into Canada? My troops are waiting for you at Queenston. Send a courier to my billet if interested.

Forget it, Pvt. Lubka. I have been waiting for an American opponent for days to no avail. Seems they are all in Washington waiting for our firework at the White House. In order to defend their capital they only could muster a Frog. Must be the militia mentality, they are lacking any fighting spirit. A pity.

Perhaps, the Americans have 10 -12 games going right now (each)and you'll have to wait your turns to get defeated .

Until then I recommend doing training games amongst yourselves to get used to the new system. You will need the practice, trust me .

May be, however, at the ACW Club they would at least let you know they're still alive by insulting you a little ... Seems pretty lonely here every night, apart from you, Sergeant.

After playing my first game of 1776 at Cowpens, and losing to a fine opponent, I am again looking for a match vs the colonial rabble. I have the 1.03, and prefer to play with the reaction fire. Any takers? Scenario other than Cowpens.

Tom Gremmels has accepted, Camden a.
