Ah yes the Sharpe series. Yeah it's fun to watch but you would not believe how damaging this series is to Napoleonic reenacting. Everyone want's to be Sharpe.
There's even a guy in the Glengarry Light Infantry who wears a bandana like one of the Sharpe characters.
Other inaccuracies:
Many characters not wearing proper headgear, jackets not buttoned up...
Now on the other side o the coin the 60th Rifles are accurately presented. Sgt. Hackeswel (spelling?) is excellent.
If you want a more accurate series to watch I recommend the Hornblower series on A & E.

Hornblower is next on the collection parade! The bandana was worn by one of the characters that was a deserter - maybe you should mock firing squad your reenactor friend!
