Gentlemen of the Continental Army, Capt. Davis and Regs. White and Walter of His Majesty's Army are in need of some commanders for the American forces at Saratoga. We would like to use the one-phase format of the v.1.03 engine, not the least because it speeds up multiplayer communication a lot. If interested, please post an answer here or send a courier to my billet under flag of truce.

MP games are not difficult, but do take up a little more time, as partners have to send files back and forth, before returning files to their opponent. I have found (in 1776, ACW and NWC) that it is best for both (or all, if more then 2 allies) players to be sent the turn and that allows both to observe the replay. Then player #1 can make his moves, fire as needed, melee as needed, save the file (NOT END PHASE)and send to his partner. IF USING THE NEW game format, the MP game is speeded up, as it reduces file exchanges between partners. When the player #2 (or #3 player) has made his moves, fire and melee, you might want to send BACK to player #1, so he can see the final disposition of the forces. He would then END TURN and send to the opponents. The new single phase turns will make MP games much easier and quicker.

I didn't know there was an Army of the Ohio during the Revolutionary War
Seriously, as many as we can get. A MP game that runs well may get three full turns a week in my experience, with this engine maybe even more. I'd say if you are good for 5 turns in a normal 1 to 1 game, you're our man. If it doesn't work every time, well, no problem with that. Only I don't want a game where a turn needs ten days to be completed.
You may want to contact Ens. Wieck of the French contingent, Th.Wieck@gmx.net. He has also volunteered to fight us.

Hi Dierk,

Count me in. So we meet again, but this time on opposite sides of the frontline. BTW, gentlemen, the more officers join in, the more interesting the battle will be.

Ens. Wieck / CiC French Dept.
Lt.Col. Wieck / 4/2/XXV/AoJ
Lt. Wieck / Pz Regt 130

Well, Thomas, I too think the more the merrier, but only to a certain limit, or the turns will never finish. I think since both armies have a right, left, and center wing, three for each side would be a good idea.

Our misguided colonial brethren still need a third wing commander for our MP engagement at Saratoga. Is there no daring Colonial out there who might want to join the fight against His Majesty's Army on this glorious field? I can recommend our ranking opponent, Ens. Wieck of the French department, as an honorable and courageous fighter, and also about his lieutenant, Pvt. Gremmels, I have heard only the best. Step forward, rebellious Colonials, and join these fine men in the upcoming fight!

If you need another colonial I'll play. We need to use the 1.03 patch though. I would recommend no more than 3 Rev and 3 Brit players.
