This would be my first multiplayer NIR game, so someone who would be patient with me would be superb. Otherwise, I shall simply do my best. I would certainly be able to play once a week, usually much more, but if I cannot I will email my opponent beforehand. My favorite Borodino scenarios are those that have no fixed units to allow for the greatest flexibility and maneouver. Anyone?[:)]

Hello Philip,

Are you a member??

If interested in joining, which I'm not sure if you are a member or not, feel free to join the Allies:

http://www.wargame.org.uk/nwc_allied.htm

If interested in Prussia check us out:

If you are into the French that's good too, but check out why Prussia is best:

Plenty of use!! [:D] You don't need to have games with 'em to be in the Armee. It is not the point of the club structure...[:D]

Now if you would be so kind to leave your name, rank and unit, that would be appreciated. [:D][:D]

Monsieur Ludwig, I am giving my services to Napoleon, and to prove I dont intend to be a traitor, I can say I have just joined, have no rank or medals or points or influence nor anything else in La Grande Armee, yet I am going to do my best in the service of the Armee du Rhin, despite temptation

But surely you must have a *name* my good sir? [8)]

If you have recently joined and been assigned to the Armée du Rhin, I should actually know about it, commanding as I do the Army's venerable training institution, the Ecole de Mars. Training is mandatory before you can engage the foe in the field.

So if you have not yet received a welcome message from the Ecole, please have a little patience until the army bureaucracy has processed your enlistment. You should hear from somebody (most likely me) presently. [^]

I suppose you have received this email:
<i>La Grande Armée
Monsieur McGarvey,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to La Grande Armée. All
recruits are assigned to one of our two field armies, where you will
receive your training within the army as a sous-lieutenant. After the
completion of basic training, you will be commissioned as a full lieutenant in the
French army.

Your assignment will be to the Armée du Rhin. General Cox, commanding
officer, will see to your billet. Best of luck in your training, and I look
forward to tales of your victories over the forces of the Tsar.

Regards,
Marechal Bardon
CiC la Grande Armée</i>

I have received an email from an opponent, so I will just play this game with him as a practice against a human opponent. I would like to ask what basic training is?

Now that I know your name, I also know who you are. [:)]

I have received this information today. You will be contacted by me tonight and put in touch with your trainer. Meanwhile you are invited to visit the Ecole de Mars website at

http://mikedavies122863.tripod.com/index.htm

where there is all the information you need on the organization of training.

The purpose of training is to acquaint you with the basics of gameplay as well as with the customs of the club. [8D]

Before you are graduated from the Ecole and commissioned a Lieutenant in the army, under club rules, you are not eligible for games against Coalition opponents.

And you will receive MP training so when you are graduated, you will be amply prepared to meet the forces of the coalition.
