Hi Ed,

About 3/4 done, I found it vey good so far - all from French Records and diaries , ( Nappy's included ). The section on the destruction if I Corp ( by the English Heavy Cav was informative - info was not aware of previously )

Turns for our games in the morning Sir

Getting my order in for this one.
Looks very interesting. I love different perspectives as I have found playing the games and scenarios reveals things that historians often don't understand or don't join the dots on.

So always good to get new material on this most fascinating and epic battle.

Finished it whilst viewing the waves crash on the beach. Much like the sound of distant English cannon destroying French troops as they march for, bravely, to their death. I enjoyed it and it has given me hope in my current and future games that, even with a vaguely sound plan, a French commander will screw it up and my Spaniard led troops will rally to victory and celebration.

The book spoke well of the bravery of the French soldiers. Also highlights the need for an accurate weatherman.

The crashing of the waves reminds one of the sound of English cannon destroying French troops as they bravely march forward to their deaths, eh?

I like it!

Makes me look forward to my next day at the beach.
