Not quite a book, but figured it'd go here well enough. Saw this guy while cruising the internet. The sites are in Spanish, I think, and I can understand some of it, but not all of it. Still some really, really beautiful paintings. Some Napoleonic, but not all. From Napoleonic through modern times. A lot in the Victorian period: http://historicaloutline.com/ http://ferrerdalmaunoticias.blogspot.com/ http://cuadrosultimos.blogspot.com/ From Vitoria: Maybe some good images for our Spanish boys to use! |

A great artist Scott! He painted many pictures of the Carlist wars, but also from other epochs, including the Napoleonic. Paso a link so you can see many of his paintings, there is one of the Battle of Bailen (towards the end). http://www.foroxerbar.com/viewtopic.php?t=13158 Regards. |

They look very real. I think the Don Quixote painting was very nice. |

Wonderful Thank You for sharing. Nieto is the precursor to the neo-realism movement later, during WWI and WWII in film and art and literature...those people in the painting could easily trot their horses out of the picture and into my living room. would you mind if I posted the Nieto link elsewhere ? |
