Could someone recommend a good read on the Quatre Bras encounter?

Thanks!

I agree with Mark I think that new perspectives title is the closest to a true operational understanding of what really occurred.

Thank you kind sirs for your input!

Two more questions:

1. Is $35.00 USA a good price for The Campaigns of Napoleon (Hardcover) ?

2. Please provide info on Armies of the Napoleonic Wars: An Illustrated History (General Military) by Chris McNab

Thanks again!

$35 is a steal if it is in even decent condition (meaning it can be read and will not make your book shelf smell of mold)

I read the Ligny and Quatre Bras book by Peter Hofschröer a few months back and I thought it was excellent

I got mine used and it has seen better days. Where did you get yours, Scott? Would love a nicer copy in decent condition.

Well I am now about to make some of you either mad or something else,

This week I received the Campaigns of Napoleon that I thought I ordered for $35.00. When I received the book, it was in very good condition with just a touch of yellowing on the pages. The foldout was in perfect condition and I could tell it was a College library book that must have been weeded out. It was a 1st edition (1966 printing) and according to the old stamp checkout system, it was only checked out a total of 5 times.

I was amazed. The surprise came when I looked at the invoice. It read: Dear Mr Clawson, we could not sell you this copy at the listed price because we felt that it was not as good as we had described. We therefor dropped the price to $20.00. Your card will reflect the adjusted cost. Thank you for your business.

With shipping, total cost: $23.99

I can only say how lucky I am..................... :D
