Gentlemen

This has already been raised by email but it seems appropriate to post it too.
I for one do not wish to receive "Open Letters", the Boards are there for general membership communications.
I know they have Moderators but I would rather have that system than a free for all.
I like to keep my inbox as private and empty as possible :)

I don't believe I could agree with this more. Get this nonsense out of my email.

Agreed...

It seems the damage is pretty well done however. A club of 16 years seems to be in a death spiral. So many hours of effort and enjoyment down the tubes...sad.

Greetings,

It is not a death spiral, though the situation may not be pretty at the moment.

It is the intention of a select group of individuals who wish to spread their discord and cause chaos here.

The posts are here as records of fact for any who wish to see them.
You can judge for yourselves by the written words.

I ask of you - is it wise policy to attack the fireman when he comes to put the fire out at your house?

Respectfully,

What attack? It was a simple statement that "we don't want these emails". Pierre's answer is simple and straightforward.

Anyone who uses a mass-email to the club is subject to warning and sanction. If I wanted to put a bit more flesh on it, I'd say that the only acceptable cause for a full-club email by anyone is notification of Club Call for Nominations and Elections.

No more Open Letters for me either. All they do is put forward the point of view of one disaffected member. Leave the general membership alone and stop harassing them!!!

Yes. Please make this happen.

Bitch and moan in your own private emails. Don't send this garbage to my inbox.

I agree, post in the War Room if you are feeling feisty....When I feel feisty, I look through my spam box....And NWC emails are not what I am looking for!

Salute!

I'm sorry if I was not clear enough...
I did not mean attacks in this thread, I'm talking about the last four months of postings by certain individuals.

This is not something that started yesterday, or last month, but four months ago.

The critical mass was breached with the mass emails sent to the general membership.
I completely agree with the expressed sentiments on this matter.

I would also ask you to please note who initiated this tactic.

Regards,

Gentlemen

Just a reminder to Officers who reply to "Open Letters" to exclude me from the recirculation

The presence of those e-mails in my inbox is an invasion of my privacy and nothing short of infuriating.

I refuse to read them, but I will notice who had the bad taste to send them.

Get a life, already.

The question should be why is everyone's E-mail address open to such a person and WHY and HOW did he get EVERYONES E-mail Address????? Not that you got a E-mail but how, if this site and the OOB is monitored?
