Here is a list of obscure battles I have run across while looking through Digby-Smith's "Napoleonic Wars Data Book":

1. Bergen 1799 - Anglo-Russo vs. French-Batavian

2. Zornoza 1808 - France vs. Spain (aka Pancorbo)

3. Stockach 1799 - France vs. Austria

D-S has a ton of small actions in his book that work well for miniature battles. You just have to do some research on them ...

Bergen is extensively described by Milyutin. With detailed maps, oobs, original reports and first hand accounts. The only drawback is that the book was published back in 1860s. And although it's available for free it can't be btranslated with modern software. No idea if it ever was translated into English.

Stockach is also there as well as everything that happened in late 1798-early 1800. But without so much detail of course. Only oob, course of action and reports. And the map was missing, if memory helps.

Yes, the English reading world is in dire need of good translations of older books. Bill Peterson has done a good job of this over the years and Scott Bowden and others are also translating works into English (universal language?).

Should I decide to work on Bergen I will contact you! Sounds like your work has some good info.
