By the way your question at the beginning says "generals" and now we are talking about maréchals...

So if those 4 generals are maréchals, of course Bernadotte has to be included.

There is an episode... in 1806 when Davout wanted to settle things with Bernadotte for not helping his IIIe Corps at Auerstadt... but it's not the good year.

Ney, Murat, Battle of Haslach-Jungingen or battle of Albeck in October.

Ney was upset with Murat for hanging Dupont out to dry.

Ney, Lannes, Battle of Elchingen.

Ney refused Lannes' help at that battle to keep the glory to himself.

These actions collectively, plus some others, centered around Ulm or the manuevre of Ulm.

Later on Mortier was upset with Murat over the battle of Durenstein.

Are you talking about Desaix? The Just Sultan?

By the way, what is "Tu" referring to?

For those who don't Parley the Francaise...

tu is the informal form of you.

Essentially Nap addressed Lannes as a friend. He did not address others in that manner, or so it is written.

Well, during the Revolution "tu" was used by everybody. It was even a Décret from November 1793.

So I would think that during that campaign everybody was still using the tutoiement (informal you in French). It's only after that Lannes was the only one still using the "tu" with Napoleon (the Consul and then emperor)...
