At least the Austrians didn't wait for their friends to loose a campaign to go to war against France. :sly:

Now there is a guy. Flamboyant, elegant, respected by his men and his enemies alike. He looks like a rock star. What a guy.

As for a scoundrel, he was just misunderstood. :frenchcool1:

I feel like some of his contemporaries on both side would question the respected.... :frenchlol:

I think Eugène de Beauharnais would have something to say about Murat in 1813.... :frenchcool You all can thank him for slowly withdrawing and getting so many needed garrison forces out in the face of overwhelming forces.

Eugène is overshadowed if you ask me. Heck doesn't even get respect here with you all not having an Italian Corps....the most loyal and capable of foreign (and many French) troops besides possibly the Poles and some minor German nations.

Dare we even mention Murat's troops form Naples.... :frenchlol1:

Oh my, the things you find when you do a search for your name out of curiosity.

I shall remember this.

Oh yes, I shall.

Futile?
How can any feud be considered futile when it's against the destroyers of all culture, the enemies of all that is fair, the inhabitants of the grey, bleak moors of Brandenburg?

I am NOT getting into this discussion ROFL..... Prussia pretty much soiled its britches in the Jena 1806 war and I dont blame Austria for agreeing to stay neutral after the debacle of 1812.

Hey, I learned this year that we can have NATION tags of Austria and Prussia as the only two NATIONS in an OB file. Anyone care to duke it out with dark grey fighting light grey on the battlefield (meaning no blue French counters)? A Prussian vs. Austrian campaign in 1813 would have been fun. Napoleon is assassinated thus the French army retreat to France and the two major German powers duke it out for control of Saxony.

We have the maps .. we have the troops ... ;)
