Yup, thanks John! :frenchcool

Also the Master of Europe (MOE) Tourney has all of it's known pages restored....and pretty much every subpage restored....working on a few....

Some pages folks might find handy:

Links - http://www.wargamech.ca/wc/nwc/Club_Webpages/Links.html - I might rename this one to Game Developer Links or something like that, not sure what I will do overall with it, but a handy guide to say the least....

Folks are aware of he Graphics Mods page too - http://www.wargamech.ca/wc/nwc/Club_Web ... hics_Mods/

MOE Pages - http://www.wargamech.ca/wc/nwc/Club_Web ... index.html

New Tournaments Page to list them all - http://www.wargamech.ca/wc/nwc/Club_Web ... urnaments/

A bunch of other good things too, so take a look....

Nice to see that the last remnants of the former "radical religious" movement were eliminated. :frenchvive1:

Many thanks Scott! :frenchsalute:

I'm so bold to make a little criticizing comment(what is necessary or Scott thinks he is done and we all know we can't let that happen :frenchlol: ), looking over the army pages the background colors represent the army the British get their red, the Austrians their white and so on, so the green of the main page reminds me strongly of the Russians(to be honest this greens fits better than the brighter one on the Russian army pages) and although I like it because this dark green color emanates dignity I wonder if there is a more fitting(neutral) color we could use, is there any color left that isn't connected to an army and that still looks good?

Lol thanks Christian.... :frenchhappy:

Yes comments are welcome as I am truly never done, as you so well point out.... :frenchlol:

To answer your question, green actually transcends all sides of the conflict. Yes it can mean Russian, btw I didn't design the Russian site, but I kept it as it looked nice & just did some minor changes to it. But green is heavily used on Napoleon's side too. Afterall he did often wear a green uniform of the Guard's Chasseurs à Cheval (who had green uniforms) with his token white pants. (Excuse my laymen's terms, I am a bit tried this morning) But take a look at many of the famous paintings:

Édouard Detaille: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... n_1806.PNG

Jacques-Louis David: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... leries.jpg

Jean-Louis-Ernest Meissonier: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... sonier.jpg

Just to name a few. Green was used in Napoleon's own personal space & dwellings too. So it is very French Empire Style trendy, I assure you. :frenchcharge:

It also fits into uniformology for almost every force out there. Somewhere & often in full dress unforms there is green. So it was a color of most, er um....égalité if not fraternité.... :frenchvive1: :frenchcool

I also want to thank & recognize the other guys who were a part of the process. The other volunteers on the Club Staff. Pierre D, Ernie, John Corbin, Andy Moss, Jim Pfluecke, Jeff Bardon & David Guégan.

We started it on June 10th to try to have it ready for the 200th Waterloo. I did some initial sketches from some designs David G had done. The layout was ok, but we couldn't come to a 100% consensus on the design concept and some other particulars. I then switched to working on subpages in early July as a way to develop creativity for the final design of the main page. Sometimes doing the subpages you get into the groove that ends up making the final design. Not much happened from late July till this past Friday. Had too much going on in real life. But some final choices were presented & the group offered their input and away it went. The main page was done and then the rest of the subpages up so far were done. The conversion of the MOE pages taking a little bit of time. But the guys all provided great input and it wouldn't have been done without them.

Thanks Guys!

And so I thank all the volunteers that helped in the process of building these new pages.
Without doubt it will help the whole club. :frenchvive1: :frenchvive1: :frenchvive1:

PS Nice explanation of the green background, now I like it even more. :nappy:

Yes, Scott, that white background that is around Nap's picture looks like a dog's head :russianveryhappy:

I thought that it added a real canine flavor to the period.... :frenchsalute:
