The Halle-Leipzig map is the large map that is used for all Leipzig scenarios either full map or sub maps referencing this map. There were a number of errors I found during recent play of the scenarios. Missing stream hexsides, towns with no Roads through them (had a Pike but many hexes had no Road hexes).

I also have reworked the Leipzig and Halle walls. These were not in great repair. They could easily be scaled.

In the current map they are represented by HIGH WALL hexsides which is inaccurate. They now will use the FORT hexside. This protects one hex but not the other and that is as hit should be. It was not a mutual cover. The GATE hexsides will remain as is.

One of the gardens had a PATH connecting it across a creek hexside. That now is a ROAD.

Other small changes were made. The main thing I had noticed was that many of the villages or even large towns did not have any ROADs in them. Just a Pike running through the town.

If you see any missing streams please let me know the hex you saw it at and the scenario so I can reference the location easily. I hope to put out this update soon along with others I have.

I recently finished Leggiere's book on the Army of Silesia in 1813 (Napoleon and the Struggle for Germany Volume 2), and he talks about Blucher preparing to give battle east of Halle in the vicinity of Bruckdorf a few days before the Battle of Leipzig. That would make for an interesting scenario and if I ever find the time......

It's not a good map Bill. Weak design.
Map obviously do not have more details and diversity and much inferior maps in 1814.
It is not very well developed probably due to lack of time.
1814 top of your talent in terms of detail and design, Bill.
Thank you.

I would love to pick up Leggiere's series on 1813. His first book on 1814 was amazing but sadly it was of little use for that game.

However, I really would have liked to have had his two volumes for the 1813 titles.

Maybe I can get a Kindle version of them.

Waiting for his 2nd volume on 1814 to come out.
