Daytona Beach to be hit Friday morning at 5am. My friends in Orlando and Jacksonville had to evacuate. Such a sad event but hoping that the hurricane veers offshore as soon as possible. Also that it picks up speed. Its moving at 13mph as I type ... would be nice if it nudges up to the 18-20mph range.

Thanks! In Charlotte it's rain rain rain... since yesterday... An occasional old oak tree falling reported around the area but nothing serious so far.

David - I noted that the hurricane is supposedly heading out to sea but not before it hits NC. Hope you folks are ok there. Lots of water I am sure. Hope you dont live right on a stream or river.
