Gents,
I have been discussing with my French counterparts setting up a simple army vs army challenge. The scenario 098 Battle of Marengo is one of the most evenly balanced scenarios in any of the games (I tested it 3 times), and makes for a fine scenario to set the French Army against the Coalition.

In the coming days, as members start to buy and play the game, we will put out a call of participants. This will be simple: we will try to match French players against a Coalition players of similar skill and experience and these pairings will play the scenario. We will add up the number of wins and losses at the end and one army will emerge the champion. You can post here if you are interested or wait for the "official" announcement in a few weeks.

Just returned from N Italy in fact - but more a tour of the vinyards and eateries than the battlefields. :frenchdrunk:

Just purchased and downloaded the game and it looks good! I'll certainly join in as long as I don't draw Jim Hall or Paco.
