Hi all, my apologies to all if emails are a bit slow and game turns not happening

It seems in my recent fight with Greg Hanbuch on trying to rally my infantry around the Bagration Fleeches I was set upon by some unruly Russian lot which I saw were Cossacks and one fellow decided I would be good bragging rights so he decided to use me as a pin cushion with his lance which caused serious injury to both myself and my new Colonels uniform. Dam him that cost me a fortune and after the previous evenings celebrations of an easy victory in the Tavern, my purse is quite empty.

On the serious side I was taken into Hospital last Thursday as I collapsed at home unfortunately carrying my laptop but I am glad to say that is fine. I was rushed to hospital which I have no recollection of and I was later transferred to the Intensive Treatment Unit which I have found out now I was in a coma till early hours of Saturday morning. I have been transferred to a ward on Sunday but unfortunately I seem to have lost the use of my legs but with the care of the staff and work by the Physiotherapists I am slowly getting use back in my legs. I am hoping to get out after the weekend but we will see. My lovely partner Kelly is bringing my laptop in today and I will see what I can do regarding Internet so I may have my trusty horse back. A lot of tests still to do on my spine and brain so we will see if I'm fit to rejoin the ranks.

John, Scott, Andy and anyone else I haven't mentioned but should of, being in hospital gives you a lot of time so I will work on everything I can.

Greg, I hope to continue our fight very soon and if you could please keep those unruly cossack fellows in check as it is not good sport ruining an officer's new uniform, in fact I protest at the arming of those fellows with pointy and very sharp sticks.

Good luck to all in the Marengo challenge and more importantly good luck to my comrades in the LGA :frenchsalute:

Well at least the laptop is ok. Anyway, cheer up, it could be worse - it could have been me.

Hi all thank you for your kind words, the Neurologist has given the all clear and seems to think I had a reaction to my new stomach medication but I am waiting on physio now so if I work hard today and have a good run ( if only), I should be nearer going home.

Christian: there are some very pretty nurses but the majority half my age and plus I think I'd be back in ITU if my partner, Kelly saw me looking at them that way, but I must say the care I have received has been fantastic and the ladies and a few gents are a credit to there profession and I'm sure Florence Nightingale herself would have impressed with them.

I will buy the next round of drinks once I'm fit and well and ready to return to the battlefield but I think I need to try and find some battlefield booty to pay for a new Colonels uniform and to have a good drink.

Yes the my laptop is working fine but without Internet connection so just my phone to work off. Andy I have no idea how my laptop didn't break as I went down like a piece of lead.

Sorry to hear about your health issues, Mark! Glad that it was not fatal. Hope that you regain the use of your legs real soon. Hang in there. The club will still be here when you get back, sir! :frenchsalute:

Good news on your recovery! Good God man, give us all a scare!

And as all good gamers would do, as you were falling you subconsciously held the laptop close and turned your body such that it took the brunt of the fall and the laptop was buffered by any soft fleshy parts you have. Well done, sir!
