I watched part of the tutorial. Very large areas on the map. I prefer the feel of Empires at Arms better. Also this one has no PBEM option.

I had to chuckle as the guy explained the difficult levels (Corporal, General, Emperor). It was like someone telling me how to make a spoon, fork and knife function! :frenchlol1:

Occupying a country's capital for a complete turn causes that country to sue for peace/get knocked out of the war. I suppose someone needs to tell that to Prussia in 1806 who fought on with the Russians in 1807 ..... not sure I agree with that rule. I would say that once a country's army has reached a certain loss level that it should capitulate. Only France gave up once their capital had been conquered and you didnt have to hold it for a turn either. :frenchwink:

For Club Games: I prefer the Single Phase mode of play. I prefer to play with the following options OFF:

MDF, VP4LC, NRO, MTD, CMR, PR, MIM, NDM, OMR (ver 4.07)

I bought it through steam and played it alot.

I did like it. But it lost it's luster quickly.

The naval aspect was ridiculous. They really should have just left it out somehow.

The French have zero chance of doing anything regarding naval activities.

It was fun for awhile, but as I said, I lost interest in it fast.
