when I open an scn file it gives me the oob, map and the pdt file.

how do I do that with respect to a Campaign Game.

is there a file that has that information, similar to an scn file that we use for the various scenarios.

It is still going to be in an scn file, although you would have to work out which one that you are using (and if playing against someone, it is not going to be 100% foolproof -so it would require some deductive reasoning in the process).

There is a campaign editor, and you will know what choices you have made; you have to guess what one that you opponent had made - that then will give you the scenario designation.

You dig out the scn file from your game folder and open it with notepad (or the equivalent) and the oob file being used is going to be near the top (the pdt file used will be there as well, and so will the map file iirc - it has been awhile since I have had to do that and will probably be going to get back into that sort of thing shortly).

You can find the name of the OOB file in the .cpf campaign game file. That is generated once you start the campaign and get into your first scenario. Here are sample lines from a game I am in in Marengo:

Cavaglia.map
Marengo_Campaign-2C.oob
Camp-1800_May-Late_Fr1st.pdt

Map, OB and PDT files all listed there.

I cannot open cpf file.

do I have to download a program to open cpf files?

Wordpad works fine. Comes with Windows .....

Right click on the file -> Open With -> Select Program (Wordpad)

Just dont associate the .cpf file type to open with Wordpad .... leave the box unchecked ....

Well that is because you have not started a battle yet. Once the battle starts you will see the OB name.
