MOE V

On May 15, 2017, we will begin the Master of Europe V tournament.

Hopefully a website will be coming soon.

If you are interested, send me an email with games you own so I can match up players.

We will follow the MOE IV Rules listed here:

http://www.wargamech.ca/wc/nwc/Club_Webpages/Club_Tournaments/MOE/MOE4/index.html

La Grande Armee members will command the French forces in the various Scenarios
Allied Officers, will command allied units in the scenarios.

Scenarios come from most game titles currently in use

- HPS Waterloo
- 1814 Gathering of Eagles
- Bonaparte's Peninsula War
- Campaign Austerlitz

I know not all titles are listed and players can choose from a title not listed
so long as the scenario is balanced and agreeable to both parties

First round games will be with scenarios of 20 turns or less.
Second round games will be with scenarios between 20 and 30 turns
Third round games will be with scenarios between 30 and 40 turns
Final round will be a scenario of greater than 40 turns but not a huge monster thing

I would ask that you be sure you can commit to these games if you sign up.

Could we make house rules optional?

Like Antonio, I prefer an anything goes approach. Pair people up accordingly?

That was the way MOE was normally done ie you choose what you want. Jeka and I played a full on 'blitz the crap out of each other' game in the final of MOEIV which he won. I lost my fancy sabre!

If you can put together a reasonable number I will be up for the tourney.

regards
Colin

I'd be in if I can be paired up with folks who also prefer anything goes.

You may even persuade Antonio to join in.

Yes i can join it if there is no embedded melee phase.
All the other HR are ok for me

As far as I can see, embedded melee may be an option only:

Quote:
Players must agree before the game to use either the “no melee elimination optional rule” or an Embedded Melee house rule.

In other words, check the NME optional rule and that solves the problem. I think most players play with that rule on anyway. So it's just a case of finding a suitable opponent who is happy with that choice.

As long as you put me in the opposite side of the bracket as Knox..and give me Andy in the first round ;)

This isn't the ACW. I'm on safer ground here.
But anyone except Knox and Zinno please. In fact I reserve the right to choose my opponent, there's a long list of people who have beaten me

Andy is correct.... just be clear with your opponent.
