Gentlemen I am a new member of the club and attempting to make my signature block presentable. I would like to add an avatar to it. I have looked at the excellent instructions for doing so on the ACWGC site (VMI training). The instructions there however do no address how to add a picture that I have filed on my computer. Is there a way to do this or must one find an image on the internet and use its URL to add a picture to my signature block? Thanks in advance for any advice. |

Do you have a site were your pic is stored? Not your PC? |

Yes. The image however is too large (pixel dimensions) to use without resizing it. |

First, you may find this thread helpful: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14883&start=0 Now, for a picture in the signature it is important to place [img] before the address and [/img] after the address. We also have some limits on the dimension but just can't remember them, maybe someone else can. Not sure what picture you want to upload but in case you use an real avatar, like I do with the picture of Kellermann, you should place it in the avatar section and not the signature. |

Thanks for the replies. So I checked the User Control panel for the ACWGC and the edit avatar feature includes the option to upload a picture from my pc (which worked when I did that for my ACWGC signature some months ago). Is this feature hidden and or otherwise unavailable for use to build a signature for the NWC Forums? |

Indeed, the two boards do not match in that point. So I'm afraid you have you should use an image hoster, I recommend imgur.com for this, worked for my avatar since I uploaded it years ago. |
