Maybe these diagrams give the members a clue:

Makes me wonder if this system was better or worse than the French approach. If combined arms are the way to go the Prussian approach seems more promising.
Usually the French did not have cavalry in an infantry division but had to rely on the cavalry that was attached to the corps, that surely didn't help in case the cavalry was not supporting the infantry division for whatever reasons.

They used light cavalry for the most part but some of the Dragoon regiments were part of the "Treffen."

Its hard not to want to liken the use of these cavalry squadrons to that of the US Army attaching Shermans to battalions or companies. The Shermans would want to bug out at the first sight of a Tiger or Panther tank thus leaving the infantry exposed. It was better to have a company of tanks attached to a battalion ....

However, in this case you have some protection for the infantry against cavalry attacks AND the cavalry would be useful in combined arms operations. They mainly were there to provide some flank protection.

The Blitz Club as well. Game Squad is sort of dead these days but I thought I would toss it out there for them to consider.

In a recent discussion with Job Tiller about this project we both agreed that too much artwork would be required and thus please consider the poll closed.

I appreciate all who took the poll. Thanks.

Thanks Bill. I would love to see this happen but oh well maybe sometime in the future things will change.
