Congratulations.

But I'm confused by the lack of support for windows xp in system requirements. Has anyone checked the startup on this system? I do not want to be in an idiotic position after buying.

Microsoft no longer supports XP, and certainly where I work the XP machines have been removed from the network. There's no reason why it won't work with XP though, I use Win7 and it's fine on that.

It doesn't work with XP. My latest game project, Campaign Eylau-Friedland, no longer installs with it either.

I enjoyed using XP 64 Bit for the many, many years it was around. For me the only drawback was the RAM bottleneck (2 GB). Other than that I would have been happy with XP for many years to come.

Guys, you disappointed me.

I'm just wondering, what new features were added and which are not compatible with xp?

Bill, congratulations on the release! The number of battles is very impressive. The maps are huge and very detailed.

This has to do with MS no longer supporting XP. John has to use the most up to date installers so that they are always compatible forward with the later OS's like 8 and 10. Blame MS for the fact that this happened. For more detailed info contact Support and Rich or John will let you know the gritty details.

Face it: MS announced long ago they were doing away with support for XP and while it saddens all of us to have to upgrade its a fact of life in the PC world of today.

This is my last comment on the matter. I have an XP PC sitting in a box because it no longer works with software. You are preaching to the choir here.

Thanks, Anton! Have always appreciated your support and help in helping with our products I have worked on (mainly the 1813-14 games but others I am sure which I have forgotten).

I'm also one that usually sticks more than long to an OS, but a left XP long ago for Win7 dodging the crappy Vista OS, That was a very good decision, not only because of RAM now being fully utilized but all the lacks of XP were gone, were I usually had to re-install XP at least once a year because of it slowing down and problems piling up I run my current installation of W7 since almost 3 years and it's still running fine.
W7 is cheap too so if one considers getting rid of XP he should try W7.

I have an option of reverting to Windows 7 on this PC I bought last year. Its a refurbished Dell Optiplex 760 and I have gotten every penny I paid out of it. I paid $176.00 ;) back in May of 2017. While I am having issues with it powering on and off I must say that the speed it has is nice. Its faster than my "new" PC I had built in 2009 which died a while back.

If you are hard up for cash and need a PC these refurbished ones are not bad. Just use it for a backup when you get a new system.

congrats on a really great job with the design and development of RBR.

I am late to the party due to being out of the country for several weeks.

I am currently in a pbem game scenario # 187 and really enjoying it.

The designer notes and charts and other extras are worth the price alone.

Thanks again and keep up the great work........

Thanks Clint. Since these battles and campaigns are lesser known I felt we had to add more bonus material than normal. Enjoy!

The OB-Compendium is much appreciated.

In your other games I had to create this document for each battle from the various oob files.

It would be nice if OB-Compendium was added in an update for some of the recent games.

Thanks again.......

Right now I am basically homeless again. The only thing I will do for older games is fix reported errors.
