Gentlemen, what I have to do? I cannot install the recently bought Republican Bayonets on the Rhine game. As usually, the file goes to Downloads; then, when I try to run it I get the message: "The Windows installer service could not be accessed. The Windows installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel." At the same time, all previously bought games' Windows installer packages run successfully. I run Windows 7 version. Thank you for advance. |

It's possible that it's just that your Windows Installer service isn't running. Open a command prompt as administrator: net start "Windows Installer". If it tells you that the service started successfully, try running the installer again. |

You need to contact Rich Hamilton at support about this. support <AT> johntillersoftware <DOT> com OR go to the website and use the contact sheet there. Note: RBR will not install/work on Windows XP and the next games out will be like that as well. Unfortunately the newer installers are built that way. I loved XP but MS no longer supports it. They support that whale of an OS called Windows 10 that is a sad excuse for an OS with more bugs than Vista of ME ever had. |
