And guys, if for some reason something doesnt work in the game .... (not mistakes in my history ...) .. please contact JTS Support. I won't be fielding questions about the game if it fails to work on your end. Always use the support email so that Rich knows about the problem.

This also applies to the "Feedback Forum" where an entry for Campaign Eylau-Friedland will soon be created. I will NOT answer questions on features of the game, artwork, program ability, etc. Please use the Feedback forum for comments on the scenarios. That forum is not a JTS forum. Its for people in the club to post issues with the scenarios whether it be a missing supply wagon, not enough ammo, units arriving in Line formation, problems with play balance, etc.

Note that Rich Hamilton added in an update to the Snow terrain and now it looks MUCH better than during playtesting! Thanks, Rich!

Just saw that the cover.bmp file for the game has Friedland spelled incorrectly. Thanks for catching this, Christian!

Mark Adams will fix this and send the correct file along to Rich Hamilton.

Great job, Bill and JTS team!

I've been looking forward to this title for years, thank you.

I played the campaign and won the war after branch two. I'm sure that will go differently against humans or the next time I play against the AI. It was very fun though.

Again thanks to all who participated in putting this title together.

Al

Wow! Famous Amos! Have missed you, my friend! <handshake>

Hope you and your family are well. Still with Uncle Sam's postal service?

Thanks for the kind words and hey, you really got into the game right away.

Which campaign did you play? From the beginning, Dec 1806, up to Pultusk? The double map for Pultusk and Golymin - the scenarios - usually should end in a Draw - the French winning at Golymin but losing at Pultusk - unless options both sides pick end up balancing out each battle.

Anyway, glad to hear from you! :eagle: :frenchvive1:

Bill,

I played the 1806-07 Winter Campaign.

I loved the double battle map and pretty well spanked the Russians in both cities. I took Pultusk and the bridge objective.

I used the next stack button to move units which made for a very confusing atmosphere in a good way. Historically, the situation was very fluid and confusing so I wasn't always sure which submap I was moving troops on for the first dozen turns, which was fine. I started getting a feel of which Corps were on which map as the battle flowed and was able to get a feel for where the Russians were. I pushed where they weren't and I pinned where they were. The AI was a bit passive, but I didn't go looking for trouble by probing the entire map, either. So it played well.

When I used good tactics, I had success. When I didn't I got burnt. That's the way it should be.

I was able to play the 36 turns in three after work settings of about an hour or so each evening. Very enjoyable.

Did you make a "for the heck of it" version with clear weather? That would change the flow of the game, as would a clear weather day for Eylau. Nice sunny warm days with no snow, etc. hehehe... AL-ways tinkering. ;-)

Family and Post Office are fine. Hope you and yours are well.

No, I did not come up with "Fair weather" scenarios. We had so many scenarios in the main folder already.

I suppose I could post a "Battle Pack" to the SDC with those in it but then the victory conditions would change. Also more French guns would have to be added into the OB.

Doing fine here in Boise. Have a ton of game projects to work on with the WDS/JTS. I traded in my spurs and horse for an armored car! ;)
