Due to health (recent chest pains) and scheduling issues (working on two game projects, Nap Battle series updates, et al) I have decided to pull the plug on my club memberships. Unlike the past, this time I mean to remain permanently out of clubs.

Its nice to see this club still around after 20+ years of service to wargamers. Good luck, guys, and glad you enjoyed the products I helped produce! Very much enjoyed the games we played in the club.

Thanks, Scott Ludwig and Ernie Sands, for being such great friends. Its been great staying in contact with you throughout my long sojourn down in California.

Now Ernie can post his usual "See you back soon" comment!

:frenchlol:

Email me if you are bored out of your skull and want to get a humorous response!

I'm surly not the only one who would like to ask Bill to reconsider this step.
While steps like these are not new, I remember on a different board that someone requested his account to be deactivated for X months so he could get his studies done, making such step a permanent one would in the long term surely affect both sides negatively.
It would be a pity to lose the main designer of the Napi series, like it would be a loss for the designer to disconnect from the most dedicated club for his Napi series.

Not sure how the settings for them are but maybe a shift to be "Associate Member" would be a step to disconnect from the gaming sides of this club.

I'm sorry to hear that your leaving the club Bill. You've put a huge amount and more into these games, scenarios and the club over the years and I for one have gained much more from these games thanks to your input. Hope your health improves Bill, look after yourself and thank you for all that you have done.

It goes without saying Bill that you'll be missed and that we appreciate everything you've done for the hobby & the Club! Heck, I just had Eckmühl open! :) Your work stands on its own.

You're on some great projects now, so it is understandable that it is time for you to take your leave. As soon as I get the chance to, we're going to have a going away party post for you! :D

Quick update: I see that my forum account is still active. Thanks guys for allowing me to post here. Its not going to be an interactive thing but more or less just a way for me to update you guys now and then. I wont be taking questions here but will via the Support Email format.

We are looking to do all of the updates sometime next year. I have uploaded all of the files for Rich to grab except for the RBR game. I need to correct the Battle of Bergen OB and scenarios based on feedback I got from one of our customers. I have Geert's volume on the campaign and plan on getting this done in the months to come. Also for RBR - Noord-Holland campaign: I might be adding in that pre-Bergen battle (Zijpe). While in only one case did the Franco-Batavian forces get across the canal there are numerous possibilities that it would make for a nice Bonus scenario. The map may need to be corrected so I will look into doing that again based on Geert's maps in his book.

I continue to work away on TWO Panzer Campaign titles with a lot of help from folks doing research. I am back to making maps again - my most enjoyable part of the process. I have a huge map going right now. I should have it done no later than New Years and that title can begin playtesting very soon as I have another smaller map done and it only needs for me to complete the OB file and we can begin the testing for that one. An existing title I picked up right off when I wen to work with the WDS folks is moving along and we did some testing on it over the last two months.

My health remains ok and I am looking into getting a stationary mount for my bike so I can "ride" all through the winter regardless of snow or ice.

Its good to see the club moving along and I may be adding in some new things in the coming years that should really be pleasantly accepted by many. I wont go into this - its a mod project.
