And to back up the blue uniform for the Carab. du Corse from "The Miniatures Page" I found this tonight:

"I remember reading something by Rigo (one of the official French Army painters, a true "Master" should I say) who did check the regimental archives to see if any brown fabric was ever mentioned regarding this specific unit.
His conclusions were that, under the Empire, it is likely that the Tirailleurs Corses never wore a brown uniform but the traditional dark blue one. Indeed, he found a mention of the use of the blue fabric in a 1805 inspection survey.

One could also check the regimental archives to see if any blue fabric was ever ordered in mass to replace brown uniforms when the Tirailleurs Corses joined the 11ème léger in 1811 and it seems not." ---- provided by username "Cantonese" from TMP Napoleonic Forum here:

Gotta love researching these uniforms ;) LOL

I have added in the image from Eylau to the Austerlitz Units.bmp and have changed the uniform numbers. The 3D will have to remain the same. Its just too much for me to change the image files. The 3D image we have works fine. Only the real purists will be upset. Its the French Legere image and that works fine.

Also: on the 3D images - they use the newer "Bunched Look" that was started in Leipzig. The Austerlitz game uses the less dense 3D look for the units. I dont have time to separate the figures and create new image groupings. Its bad enough that I used new artwork in an older style Units.bmp file. ... ;)

The endless depths of Uniformology, you would need an extra team that is really into that topic to get it perfect. Or you woud indeed go crazy about it.

The new unit art from Eylau is already enough to fix the problem, and as long as the 3d image is bluish likely no one will ever notice that tiny difference.

Over the last two days (Thursday and Friday) I did a lot of renaming of the Russian artillery. Its just about all done.

I now am going into the scenarios and inserting the new gun sections. Its mainly the Horse Batteries and a few new gun sections that need replacing. Its tedious but should be finished in a month. I am going to take my time at it as I need to also work on the other new games too.

Tonight: I will continue work on a map I have been working on .... going to add in more map tags ....
