My old link for the Ferraris map of 1777 was outdated so in searching for a new link I found one here: https://mapire.eu/en/map/belgium-1777/?layers=37&bbox=484047.5425565914%2C6521187.511609703%2C547604.9315757154%2C6544118.620095257 This is a much simpler interface to use. You simply use the left mouse button to scroll the map to wherever you want to go. I am looking to see if they have an Index page that will help with navigation but this interface works fine for now. The mouse wheel allows you to zoom in and out very quickly. These "stylized, pre-topo maps" were the basis for the Fleuris, Jemappes and other maps I used for the RBR game. I added in a map label for one of the chateau on the Fleurus map which will be included with the updated Fleurus map files in the RBR update. |
