I offer a toast to Field Marshall Moss! :frenchsalute: In leading Archduke Charles' army at Eckmuhl he devised a novel strategy, moving to concentrate his entire army at Hausen. Alas, his vanguard fell afoul of Montbrun's Light Cavalry and Saint-Sulpice's Cuirassiers, leaving the way open for Friant's men to seize Hausen and split the Austrian army. :frenchvive: With St. Hilaire's Dv attacking the Austrian Left, Gudin and Morand their Right and Friant and the cavalry exploiting the broken Center, the Austrian Vanguard was defeated en detaille. Meanwhile Lefebvre's Bavarians caught the tail of the Austrian column and threatened a complete encirclement.
