Post subject:  Re: Campaign Eckmuhl & Wagram - "Retro" Game Files Coming So

I did work on the campaign files a couple of days ago. I found that my find/replace script I had from the UE forum was not working so I did my own changes.

I successfully changed the path where the campaign scenarios are located for many of the entries but had to go back and manually change the rest using "Find - .scn" to add in the new path entry which is:

1809-Campaign

This path will also be for Campaign Wagram too.

Again, this is just for the set of scenarios I am releasing for use. Its has nothing to do with the default set that are still in the main folder.

I am hoping that Rich H. and co. will eventually move those out of the main folder.

I edited the FULL 1809 campaign file (path changes noted above) as it has both Eckmuhl and Wagram campaign line entries. Now I just need to insert the Eckmuhl entries into the Eckmuhl Campaign .cpd file (the one JUST for EC) and do the same for the Wagram Campaign. I believe the entries are the same. When I built that long full 1809 campaign file, which takes the two campaigns and puts them into one file, I removed most of the TERM entries for the Eckmuhl Campaign after I had copied the file and then copied in the Wagram Campaign .cpd lines. Then I added in "hooks" or "Outcome" entries which point from the end of EC to the beginning of WC's entries "On to Vienna" ...

It should be pretty easy to just copy in the two sets of lines into their respective .cpd file and be done.

The big chore will be to copy in the scenario descriptions from the updated 4.07 scenario files into the ones I am working on. I want to review them. I may just do it manually using my own formatting. I know that the Suggested Rules might not match up to what I think they should be. I know I will not be suggesting "Default Rules" ...

Its been a slow week at it as I am not in a hurry to make mistakes and hey, its summer and I want to enjoy some bicycle riding too!

FYI: I also came up with a plot for a novel and am working on that too. I am not into full production yet but any of you that know me know that once I do it will be full speed ahead with a lot of work days on that.
