Would anyone happen to know anything about macros? I want to reorganise the Guards pages on my website, unfortunately doing so means ammending the menu links - which are on every page on the site (60+). I figured the quickest way would be to write a macro in Word but I'm struggling with it. I was thinking along the lines of using the 'Find' and 'Replace' commands - is this feasible and if so is there a way to get the macro to cruise through an entire directory?

Thanks in advance. [:)]

That's why I use templates when I write a new website. Sorry, I know this is no help now, but maybe for the future ...

Templates yes, have a common "navigation section" of links that are used on every page. That way you have that framework in place and the only thing that changes is the base data. If you aren't doing that now, it would be worth doing it sooner rather than later.

Pete,

One day or the other, you will need to create templates as Rich and Dierk suggested.

In the meantime, I can tell you that macros are really easy to set if you have some sense of programming. The easyest way is to record a macro that 'approximately' does what you need (such as "Find and replace") and then use the Visual Basic Editor (alt-F8, edit) to customize the way it performs the task; it is pretty intuitive. If you need any more help just PM me, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks very much for the help. I guess it'd be better to just do the template rather than a macro and a template. I'll do a search and see what I can learn... though I'll probably be back here asking dopey questions. [;)]
