HAHAHA!!! Anyone who knows me, knows I make the hardest requirements for special honors of them all. Henceforth I believe the Prussian Armee has the toughest Garde of them all:

Sirs,
Ah, is this jealousy I sense in your messages? At present only 1 out of 5 active french officers qualify to enter the Imperial Guard (49 out of 263), these are officers who most of them would qualify as guardsmen in your armies as well. They have gained the requisite 5 victories or better and served an average of 9 months in the club. But I should make you aware that the French Guard is presently being restructured to have similar requirements to the other armies in the club as follows,
la Jeune Garde 250 points and 10 victory points
la Moyenne Garde 500 points and 20 victory points
la Vieille Garde 750 points and 30 victory points
once the reorganization is complete the officer list can be viewed at the new website

Well it is a cute little school. Very quaint.

I will note that MOE has been a French domain since it's inception...

Of course, when the Marechal's reorganization takes effect, I shall have to resume playing games. Seems I am three Allied patsies short of holding onto my battalion in the Vielle Garde...

Doubtless as the badge below Field Marshal Sir Hall's name shows, a reorganisation of the French Guard is over-due. Fortunately I'm quite confident that this fabled restructuring will merely engender a slightly older, richer and over-dressed, though just as inept, band of fortune-hunters than before.

A unique characteristic of the French army is that it has more generals than NCOs. What's more, while most armies are content to be commanded by one General, the Grande Armee manages to accomodate a confounding agglomeration of Marechals, Princes, Dukes, Barons and an Emperor who appears to revel in the resulting pandemonium.

BTW nice drop-down menus Drew. I couldn't get the mouse-over ones to work so unfortunately you have to click on mine.

Sir,

We shall see who holds the badge after this year's challenge. Better to gain nobility through glory on the field than to be born into a hollow title.

In the meantime, I salute the efforts by officers on both sides in creating sites that are a pleasure to browse through and enhance the spirit of the club. Oh yes, and happy hunting, Mike.

Cheers!
