Post subject:  Big size files

I have a problem in two campaign, our files become very big. The battle is the same in the two games, the second days at Abbensberg (48 turns).

What happens? And what can we do?

Use a file compression program like WinZip or Ultimate Zip(free)

Gents:

This problem of file size "blow up" generally occurs when the two players are not using the same version. The problem was corrected in the latest patches for all games but you must be certain that you are both using the latest patch.

To fix the file problem manually, you can open the .cpf file with notepad and delete all the lines beginning with the number "16". There can be thousands of these in the corrupted file. Fortunately, you can place the cursor at the beginning of a line and sroll down, hold the shift key and click at the end of a line. This should highlight all the lines of text to be deleted. Hit the delete key. The "16" lines are located before the middle section of code and after the middle section of code. Be sure to clean them all.
