The Austrians appear to be doing very well against the French at Eckmuhl. Congratulations to all the winners.

I think it would be more relevant to state which Army a winning Officer originates from hence the Allied/Dutch would get a mention or two [;)]

Jim,

With all due repect, methinks Ken has his hands full simply running the tournament without having to track down which army each contestant is from. Moreover, in years past some people complained that the scenarios were biased towards one side of another, hence displaying which side won each engagement is a good prophylactic measure to avoid similar contretemps.

Perhaps GL Stafa will be good enough to continue providing us with a running total indexed by the player's army of origin to address your concerns.

Regards,

Paco

Russians: Eugene Gulyaev, Andy Moss, Phillip Chimara, Pavel Stafa
Anglo-allied: Rich White, Bob Breen, Ed Blackburn and Jim Hall

Makes 8 IMHO [:D], if all those commanders are correctly designed (Russians are for sure [:D]).

Yes Pavel, Allied and specially Russians are very good players. But Jeff (sorry Marechal Bardon, our army CO) or Tomasz will win at the end the tournament[:p] In any case they are my favorite.

And the best allied player, Geert, is not part of this tournament because he play only BG'system. By the way may be we can create a BG's tournament ? What about this idea ? Yes, it's a great work and I thank Sir Muddy to organize this HPS'tournament.

Best regards

You can add Paul Vinnos of the AdN to the list of victors. His Austrians handled me like a Marseille femme in an English camp. An early and ignoble exit for me....

Best of luck to Paul in round 2...

Paul is an outstanding player. All French officers beware. I am currently (in light of the debacle of the Guards Challenge) 20 MV, 1 MrV, 1 DRAW, and 1 MAJOR DEFEAT. Paul wiped out roughly 70 guns in one turn and turned the scenario "BGW:D'Erlon's Assault" into "D'Erlon's run for your life!!!".

So you Old Guard players watch out for Paul.
